NVIDIA Tegra 2 Computer on Module - Colibri T20

Powered by NVIDIA: Tegra 2 Dual Core Processor

The Colibri T20 is part of the Colibri (ARM based) product family. The T20 module is based on NVIDIA's Tegra 2 ARM Cortex A9 MPCORE Dual Core processor, runs at 1.0GHz and was the first computer-on-module to feature this processor within the embedded market.

This ARM Embedded module features state of the art technology, and are aimed at low power systems that require high CPU performance. They are equipped with all the interfaces needed in a modern embedded device.
The T20 is available with 256 MB or 512 MB of on-board Flash memory. This provides a large amount of storage for program and data, with data storage further expandable through USB and SD Card.

The Colibri T20 module provides dual display support and a wide variety of display interface options, including digital RGB, analogue VGA, DVI (TDMS), and with an appropriate external encoder, LVDS, making interfacing to almost any LCD panel simple. The digital RGB interface supports resolutions of up to WSXGA+ (1680x1050), while the DVI interface will support Full HD (1920x1080) resolution. 4 and 5-wire resistive touch screens are natively supported. An integrated 16 bit stereo codec provides audio recording and playback functionality. The module can also be directly connected to a CMOS camera sensor for imaging application support.

In addition to this rich set of features, the Colibri T20 provides full 100 Megabit Ethernet connectivity as well as high-speed USB 2.0 host and device functionality.

The Colibri T20 IT module is a special version which meets the stringent requirement of an industrial temperature range (-40 to +85 degree Celsius).

Freescale Vybrid VF5xx Computer on Module - Colibri VF50

Powered by Freescale Vybrid Processor

The Colibri VF50 is the latest addition to the Colibri ARM based computer on module product family.

The Colibri VF50 is a SODIMM sized computer module based on the Freescale Vybrid embedded system-on-a-chip. The Cortex A5 CPU peaks at 400 MHz. This Computer module delivers cost effective CPU and graphic performance with minimum power consumption.

The Vybrid VF5xx family is a single-core (ARM Cortex-A5) solution with 1.5 MB on-chip SRAM, DDR3 memory interface, dual high-speed USB with PHY, dual Ethernet with an L2 switch, and a digital video camera interface. VF5xx devices are also software and pin compatible with the VF6xx Vybrid Controller family that also includes a second core (Cortex-M4 core) potentially eliminating the need for an external MCU or field programmable gate array (FPGA).

Suitable for a Wide Range of Applications

Colibri V50 is ideal for applications including simple HMI in appliances and industrial machines, secure control of infrastructure and manufacturing equipment, energy conversion applications such as motor drives and power inverters, ruggedized wired and wireless connectivity, and control of mobile battery-operated systems such as robots and industrial vehicles.

Easy Performance Upgrade

Existing customers will benefit from an extremely easy migration path between the current Colibri PXAxxx or Colibri Txx module range to the Colibri VF50 – all Colibri modules are electrically pin compatible. New customers will also appreciate the ability to select the Colibri module most suitable for their application to achieve the optimum price/performance balance without the need to support different carrier board designs
